DIY AP tuning
Hello All,
Checking to see if anyone has any good write ups for using the Cobb accessport. I have a panel filter and a catback and I am done with performance so the stage 1 kit from cobb will work. But i hear that you can increase OMP and lower the temp that the radiator fans kick off and would only be interested in these for reliability reasons. I have the Cash for an AP just wondering if I can adjust this myself and save 100 bucks as I am super happy with the power of this car.

Dude, there is a whole thread dedicated to this. Read, read, read. You could also take his AP Seminar. There are also a few good book on tuning. You have to understand a lot before you even begin to get into it. Using the AP is a the easy part, learning to tune is not.

Yeah, agreed... Tuning with an AP isn't really something that you can learn to do from a short few steps in a DIY... Sure you could figure out how to do a thing or two, but since you can realllly mess up your car if you do something wrong, its just not worth the risk of starting to fiddle around with an AP before you know exactly what everything does... I know I sure as hell wouldn't hook one up and start doing stuff with it if all I had to go on was a little DIY that I found on the internet haha. If I was wanting to do some tuning with one, I would just get someone that I know knows what they are doing to do it for me instead of trying to do it myself from scratch.
