see that green line that shifts from a high position down to a lower one? That's the area you should shoot for. The bottom of the green line is the "safe" tune. The top is the "extreme" tune. You shouldn't go higher. And at the higher rpms, I'd go for a slightly lower range, especially with low octane.

You should definately be able to feel the added power with your current map though.

thanks. this is a different question, but i'm having problems trying to connect to the cz unit. my laptop is telling me that there's some sort of a malfunction with the usb or something like that. i was reading in your website that there is a cd that comes with a usb cable, which i have to install first. can that be the problem?

If it connected once..you should have the driver installed. If it has never connected...then the USB cable drivers need to be loaded.

Also if you bought a used unit...the firmware has probably been updated..and you will probably need to check that the software is OK for that firmware level.

http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/ind...20&%20Firmware

I'd probably uprade to 1.25 and see if that works...1.25a and 1.49 are new and probably the unit is not at those firmware levels. You can upgrade to 1.49/1.49 with software/firmware from that site

the usb drivers will need to be loaded if you can't connect. As said above - if you were able to connect before, then it's not going to be a usb driver issue.

can i use the newer 1.49 software even if the unit is not at that level? would there be a problem?

The software upgrades with the e-manage tend to be a bit dodgy....
The honest answer is I don't know. I would contact your seller...
and ask him what software version he had working last...and try that first.

If the cable drivers aren't loaded...you have to start there......

Once you get it connected...then you can upgrade the software and
firmware and be good to go with the latest updates

When I went to the gold upgrade..I had a difficult time getting it to
work the first time.....after that it connected every time. The other thing
I noticed was some people plug the cable in backwards.....

it doesn't work that way

its tough to tell what your afr is with that goofy scaling on the right axis, but from the looks of it I'd richen it up a tad - more then likely you will see the timing hold at a steady 30 when you reach the right spot

Timing is different because the MAF voltage is being changed by the ECU.....the only way to get the timing to LOOK stock...is to turn the unit off You can add back the missing advance with the ignition adjustments...and a bit more in some spots...but the CanScan won't see that

It will depend on how much you are adjusting the MAF values....and where. Mine used to vary the timing up to 4.5 degrees at WOT.

thanks. got the zip file, installed cable driver everything seems fine...
and i thought i was ready to go....
another problem prevails.
i don't get the bs usb cable problems message any more. the computer seems to acknowledge it fine.
when i turn on the emanage support tool, i don't get the "start offline?" message either....but thats about it.
the emanage support (i'm currently running version 1.25 per donnebre's advice) is just not connecting. i can't adjust the throttle since the throttle caliberation button isn't even highlighted. i can't upload or download from the cz unit, etc etc...but the funny thing is, even if i unplug the usb cableand try to access the emanage support tool from my living room, there's no difference. i still don't get the "start offline".....
what can be the problem.....rrrggggg....this is very frustruating......
in despration, i tried reversing the cable plugs...i just get another usb problem popup from windows.
