When your right by god your right! I just slapped on a MS intake on my MM tuned AP car and now I can't go above 4000 RPM's. Seems like as soon as I go into OL it bogs like crazy or something, it get's real jerky so I dunno???? At 4000 my AFR's instantly spike to 10.1 maybe lower I'm assuming 10 is as low as the uego will read. Back to the drawing board or AP maps I can haz.

Checked, checked and re checked. I am also a bit confused myself? I was thinking it would go lean not super rich. We're talking about a change of +3 on the AFR so again I dunno. Cleaned the filter following the instructions yesterday afternoon so maybe it's not completely dry yet but I figured 12 hrs would be enough no?

When JEff tuned my 8 I didn't see any leaning out until v4_0_3 and my final tune was v4_0_7. But now my AFRs are mid to low 12s at WOT, 7500 and up.

EVen when I was running rich I never had any bogging (10.4). CHeck the screens inside of the intake itself. If they are sieways, that is bad! Oh, and don't ask me how I know this

is your ssv valve stuck closed? clogged cat? COILS ? loose spark plug wire? fouled spark plug? too much oil going into chamber killing any chance of detonation? bad battery? bad ground? bad altenator? your map sensor not connected or cleaned? Fouled O2 sensor. --- personal favorite.... VACUUM LEAK!!!!!!

Checked the screens twice. At v_7 my AFR was also in the upper 12's.

well, one way to see if it is indeed the map is to flash over stock or the ap map you can haz. if you still go that rich, something else is wrong.

vacuum leak would cause you to go too lean, so i don't think that's it.

did you reset your ecu after installing the cai?

i guess it could be that your map is so fine tuned that the slightest variation in maf readings is throwing things into disorder.

i wish i could see this map.

but did you reset the ecu after installing the cai? try reflashing your map too.

another update:

after resetting the ECU and reloading the map with approx 4 complete drive cycles my car does drive a bit better but still not acceptable. STFT shows 1 at idle and LTFT is also showing 1 not sure if this tells anyone anything but i was thinking the FT's would be way off?? OL wot is a mess at around 5000 it spikes my AFR to 10.1 on the uego and at 6000 still bogs real bad. Fills almost like hitting the limiter. No marbles in a can noises but it is accompanied by a overwhelmingly loud backfire. Not sure what's going on but tomorrow i'll try get a log or 2 and post it up for input

OMG, OFMG, WTF. I win the most bone head move of all time. I'm actually very ashamed of my self right now wtf. Not sure how I let this one happen maybe sleep deprivation or maybe i'm just a plain ol retard. I checked everything I could think of except the lower part of the intake inside the filter itself. For some reason after washing the filter I put the rag inside it and put it on so I assume this explains everything except why i'm an idiot. Ran ok until WOT because the rag would get sucked up against the pipe. I have no excuse for such negligence and appoligize this screw up.

The beatings shall continue until moral improves.

Yours are scaled and his are not - he said he was running rich to begin with, so he is reporting higher MAF numbers.

Then the fuel trims build - and the rag comes out, now he is super lean.... it happens.

He needs to trim his MAF some to get it inline with his target AFRs.
