Will it be able to run all the intake valves actuators for the NA RENESIS? Meaning 2 regular solid state solenoids (VDI, SSV) and one H-Bridge motor controller for the APV valve.
I'm looking for a standalone ECU for my RX8 time attack car, and I could not find any that can run the APV valve...
Thanks for posting the Dyno graph Team! Quite surprised they didn't verify if the APV was open or not, that's a big deal to overlook. It doesn't appear to have opened during the run visually, so if they just removed and replaced the lower intake and didn't remove the servo it would have been closed.
This new ECU does look quite promising and at a fair price point as well. Hopefully they will really dig in and allow a much broader tuning pallet than the Cobb unit did. We shall see!
they had this post to share on the 29th of Oct that is pertinent
We are still working on the modular s1 PNP ECU, but while we wait here is a turbocharged s2 Rx8 with our wire in m2000 ECU.
If you are going to The SEMA Show or SevenStock this week make sure to check out the TRMNL8 Rx8. This Series2 Rx8 makes over 400rwhp on the factory Renesis engine with just our 13B stud kit. It has a wire in Adaptronic m2000 modular ecu that we remotely tuned. Lucky 7 Racing did a great job on the install of both the ECU and our BorgWarner Performance Aftermarket EFR 9174 turbo system. The car runs 4x Injector Dynamics ID1750x injectors with an Aftermarket Industries SP800 dual walbro 450 surge tank for the E85 fuel system. Turbosmart fpr1200 and new oil pressure regulator are also onboard.
Subbed this is pretty cool We have something similar in the 3000GT world that came out a few years ago and has completely overhauled the potential of the entire platform. I run one in my race car, I could definitely see myself picking this up for my RX8
The Mainline dynos are hub dynos . Pretty sure that has something to do with it as I've seen several here from the same brand dyno with similar looking curves.
And this "balance between injectors " is that marketing BS ?
You won’t see it without dedicated EGT or O2 sensors per rotor. Because otherwise you only see the net mixed result with a single downstream device. I’ll have dual EGT on my my new setup once completed.
Our first batch of these units are set to be shipped to us next week( 3rd week of November). Currently the traction control, cruise control and front wideband are not working with the ecu. Adaptronic is still configuring this in the software, it will be updated with a free download once complete.

That's what I meant . Unless they actually have the capability of tuning by rotor and did it for that dyno ... it's marketing BS.
They are stating that it does have the capability. Whether they did or not is a personal trust issue since neither you nor I or anyone else can say one way or the other with any certainty. Only they & God know for a fact what the truth may be.
The dyno operator is listed as Andy. I'm guessing that is andy waytt from adaptronic. He seems to dislike BS and statments that can't be backed up by measurment if that is anything to go by.
ask him yourself on facebook instead of relying on turblown for info.
The testing is occurring overseas by or with Adaptronic and it’s from their page. Turblown did copy it over to their own, but as the NA distributor that doesn’t seem unusual or questionable in any way. Can’t say it as a fact but I was under the impression based on previous statements from Andy that Ric Shaw was involved in the process. Not sure if he was for that particular test though since it was basically a factory stock RX8.
I can understand a certain level of scepticism, but couldn’t you could at least make some effort to get the facts straight before hurling accusations about “somebody elses” credibility? Do you realize how many people on other platforms wish a company like Adaptronic was trying to accomplish this for theirs, let alone that RX8 production died on the vine 6 years ago? This is a full CAN replacement pcm. It seems like you want it to fail or will cheer with glee if it does.

You couldn't be more wrong. I would love to see this work and work well . My dilemma will be the time and effort I've put into flash tuning and whether I can justify buying another tuning solution.
For the record ... I didn't hurl any accusations , I was merely being skeptical. Something I've learned to be over the years of working with this platform .
Received an update tonight from Adaptronic via Elliott @ Turblown. Andy leaned out the tune from above and found some more power. Also did some ignition timing/split work. ECUs are shipping soon and I should be receiving a base map in the next day or so. Looking forward to diving into it to start setting up the parameters for my application.
