So...could you post an update pic or state the % gain?

Will you guys publish that dyno online? (better resolution, that cell phone pic is hard to see)

If the chart in the cellphone pic starts at zero then the peak torque increase would be a little less than 10% at about 7000 RPM. (The "before" torque line is five divisions from the bottom while the "after" torque line is 5.5 divisions - a 10% increase roughly.)

However, I don't think the chart starts at zero. I think the bottom left rounded corner is supposed to be "40" then the numbers going up are 60, 80, 100, etc. With that in mind the torque gain (and thus power gain) at 7000 RPM is about 6%.

For NA, 6% (or maybe 10%) is a nice start but I think full advantage of the Accessport won't take place until it is utilized on an FI system.

^= you might be able to squeeze something extra out of it if you have intake/exhaust... But it's true that for NA the gains will be small

small > nothing

and I take it the price would be reasonable and cheaper than the INT-X?

Hm. I would have expected it would have been worth a few HP.

The pulley on the AC compressor has an electronically controlled clutch that freewheels unless the AC system is engaged. The clutch will also be released if the car is under WOT.

Yeah. I figured even though it's free wheeling it's not frictionless and would still be a drag on the engine since you'll have an extra belt and pulley etc. But it sounds like it's not much of a contributor though.

I got this message from Trey Cobb...

We desperately need 2006-2007 models and ANY auto models. It looks like we may have to release without AT support, but we want to add it as soon as we can get test vehicles.

so more volunteers and less bitchin' please

How do I say this politically correctly...

FAWK THE AT'S...

If they wanted performance...they would have purchased the MT...

Cobb just doesn't want to cut off a potential market.
AT owners need power even more than the MT owners, so they will buy this.
Plus, it makes the installation of a turbo on the AT even easier.

But in the meanwhile...because of the AT's...I have to wait...

Release the AP for the MT 05's!

They can address the market after all the happy MT customers report how many times they spooged due to repeated stroking of the AP dongle...

That said...please allow me to once again state...

F teh AT's...

heh

F teh twinkie and his cream filliing!!!

I've been trying to contact Justin to hopefully do some volunteering out this way, but no luck so far. Was hoping they'd want to do it through one of their affiliated shops or maybe send an engineer out here for a bit to figure it out. I would think they will make more money from it than the cost of a plane ticket...

I'm not bashing the AT's...

I'm simply stating what everyone else has been thinking since day one...

"F teh AT's"...

Not only does the AT make our car slower, but it's slowing down progress...heh

Time = Money...as much as they would like to...its probably not going to be cost effective to have an engineer "out of pocket" to work on a single thing.

I would have imagined that finding RX's in the area would not have been a problem. Whoever lives over there needs to start driving around with a print out of the request and taping it to any RX they see...

I don't think that the ATs are really holding up COBB, they are just saying that if they don't get the ATs or 2006+ by the release time, then, well, they are releasing it without that support.

It isn't just sending out a engineer, but also the associated equipment to do the analysis for the computer. You may find a warmer reception to offer to send in the ECU, to Cobb, for their analysis. Ya, I know, that is kinda scary. And, you would be without the use of the car for awhile do to their probing and the time it takes to ship the ECU both ways.

Exactly what I did...Cobb had my PCM for about two weeks. Everything went fine. If anyone is contemplating offering their PCM, you don't have anything to worry about.

No response.
