I've been told, a local Chicago Subaru tuner has, in the past, had lots of experience with rotary tuning. This same shop uses the Cobb Accessport software.
You may very well have been given good information. Cobb will release, shortly, a n/a tune for MT vehicles. During a recent conversation he commented that it would be available in most areas very soon. It only makes sense to use an established chain of dealers and tuners to dispense the flash. If it's as described to me, the person flashing does not need to know much.
