They're huge. 2+ times the size of sealed I think. Most boxes I've seen on here are sealed, I think because even ported boxes take too much space in the 8.

I just got my 04 rx8 and was looking to put in a sub box myself. Do I need to remove the rear strut bar in order to do so and will it affect any performance? Thanks.

Been years since I've even looked at an RX8. But I'm pretty sure the 04 didn't come with a rear strut bar from the factory. Heck yes, you'd have to remove it if you wanted to install most any of the boxes here (Zenenclosures or similar). The 4080 boxes or any other wheel well box design would probably work without removal of the strut bar though.

Will it affect performance? My guess is simply, you won't notice it. lol

Rear Bose amp remote power wire

Which wire going to the rear amp is the remote power? I wanna tap into it to run a wire to my subwoofer amp.

I posted this years ago. Nobody really answered me, but I'm betting you'd be just fine using one of them.

Measuring with my DMM at the Bose harness, I noted that the yellow/white and pink/black wires are hot only when the key is in the acc mode. Makes no difference if the headunit is on or not. Anybody know what exactly these two wires are for?
