you could always do it the right way, with a dremel, hehehe.

Definitely looks more original that way. I think on a black car though, a matte black mesh, probably would look better??? I am going to paint my rear bumper like this one pictured as well as the shrouds. Most likely will leave the stock mesh unpainted, but what if? started to enter my head. The only reason I don't want silver is I am debadging the trunk and going for a smooth look in the back with a lip spoiler and am afraid the silver may clash, but I don't know, haven't seen too many pics of this done to black cars
Spin9k, so I just need to go to a hobby store and pic up some plastic paint, primer and clear, and a 1" brush.
I think with Lebren's smoked accent light, with the rear diffuser painted brilliant black like the rest of the vehicle and this treatment on the unpainted mesh it will look pretty good. Starting to like the idea. I Got the inspiration after just looking at "Gregs" white car, he's got the diffuser painted piano black and my exhaust too!

I've been trying to find a reason to use my cutoff wheel again... this may be a good opportunity. Sorry for the threadjack, but do you have any pics with the shield cut down and the fake grills opened up? It would be cool to show off the Greddy EVOTT!
Here is another way of doing it, that I found on a Japanese blog. Not sure if anyone has taken this route, but it seems tedious and time consuming. My big question is, what do you do about the tow hook area? Interesting concept, and I guess it is making something of it.
He started with a 7mm drill then used a 3.5mm on both sides. At this point, I am assuming he used that large cone drill to ream it out.
He then states that he used the small rotary tools and a triangular file to finish it off. You can see what I am talking about for the tow hook area below.

Rotr8,
Going to do the Home Depot gutter screen, bought it yesterday as well as the Satin Black. Also got the Lebren Smoked light on the way. Going to cut back 3" of the exhaust shield as well. It's going to look good with the whole diffuser and shrouds painted brilliant black. I'll post up pics in your thread when I complete it.
