also dont forget that you get charged 50% of 100% retail....which in itself is exhorbitant and the sponsor is still making a small profit off of you.....so they make money, you advsertise them for free and you become a slave to thier wishes by contractual obligation.....if you fail you are billed the balance of the full retail and they make money either way.....car shows are a lifestyle and if your not ready for them then dont do it.....if a show has a roll in at 9am you need to have your car prepped the day before, meaning waxed and near perfect, have to be there on time, and the shows usually end around 10-12......so your either sitting there for 12-14 hours in hot or cold.....cant go away too far for fear of theft or damage and its on averagea 14-18 hour day......you also have to be uber vigilant by your car cuz when judges are around you need to point out the reasons why your car should win......otherwise you get no love......

I hear they can take your car to put a body kit on it and you won't get it back for weeks.

Not too feasible when it's your only car.

Plus don't you have to pay upfront for the parts and they reinburse you later after you attend the shows?

My friend has an account on there and it's legitimate. He got DEI stuff for like 25% of the regular MSRP. I got some wxhaus twrap from "his deal" while he was getting other stuff.

I've had an account with the car sponsorship website for about 3+ years and I've never used them. They've sent mail and email of potential sponsor companies, but in my opinion I feel like this program is better left to Honda owners. Because every opportunity I got I denied it because I would never use the parts any of the companies offered. I feel that rotaries are at a disadvantage because it seems that most of their closest business relationships don't do anything for rotaries. I figure I'd rather find a better deal on my own than put something sub par on my car.

thats becuase a lot of the mod makers dont know much about rotary engines. and there is a WAYYY bigger market for civics and cars like that. they are going after the most profit, they dont want a small market like us. i am just glad that we have a few select companies that make mods exlusivly for rotaries

Taj, I would be happy to do that clutch/flywheel swap for you but I am not making a dedicated trip west for it. Since I will be starting a temp job with Ford soon, I don't know when I would be able to do it.
