Ok that Camaro as 2 Center Pipes!! Quote me "PIPE" MEANING ONE SINGLE PIPE. Let's go Sesame Street right now. Pagani..4?! Camaro SS 2!? We're talking Single exit right now...I've talking about running one pipe out the back. Not 2-4

Okay, fair enough. Those are multiple tips.

As long as it isn't round, I think a single tip in the center could potentially look good.

i have to agree that one single pipe in the rear would look a lil on the dumb side. I would say it would be like a big fart hole.

Hell, just ditch the whole exhaust system. Fabricate a pipe to go to the fender vent behind the front wheel and maybe put a couple tips shaped like the ones on that Camaro. Sure, the door might get all carboned up, but it'll sure cut weight.
I heard the 300SLR was the loudest car in history

I'm guessing you mean the new SLR? Ya, the pipes definitely look a little more deliberate on those.

Too bad the exhaust manifold extends past the rear of the fender. So you would need to fab a new exhaust manifold. And there is a fender well in the way. And a lot of other important components. Not to mention you would melt and bubble your paint all over your fenders and door.

I would hope we all do...my car would much prefer the dual exhaust. See, me and my car talk to eachother. She tells me she wants dual exhaust, and she tells me what all she wants done to her. I have yet to name her though...

i quit reading this thread so if someone said it already i apologize, but the lightest (non-custom) exhausts for the rx8 are all dual exhausts. down side is they are titanium and cost a lot more. if light weight is your biggest concern and you want a production model exhaust then look into JIC's full titanium catback, ~17lbs. they also make a ti muffler with ss piping, and tanabe's ultra medallion is also ti muffler w/ ss piping. the ultra medallion is ~20lbs. the hi-power is ~23lbs.

if you want the lightest weight possible go with a custom setup, teamrx8 got his entire exhaust system weight to be lower than the stock muffler alone O_O

why left? were you able to have it custom with less bends in the exhaust from choosing the left side?

and whats wrong with center exits? seems to be more of a function over form thing... and i think the right side exit for the custom may...may be more balanced for the car in terms of weight. my opinion only...

it looks really nice on ur car regardless.... good looking bling.

and not to knock on anyone's preferred choice, i for one really like the stock dual look. they(mazda) had gone great lengths to make a great sports car with good 50/50 weight distribution in mind. and needing a high flowing muffler that can tolerate a rotary's heat at that... is why they gone with a single pipe dual tip outlet route.

but, i can be wrong...i'm just sayin.

Left/right didn't really matter to me. The exhaust guy set his jig for the driver's side of his usual dual cannister (like the rx8store exhaust) catback and called it a day.
