What exhaust should I put in my 04' 8?

I don't want to sound like a noob so please no a** hole relpies, but what would a new exhaust do for me? At night I always hear people driving tuners and I'm assuming it's an aftermarket exhaust that I'm hearing, what makes the "humming" noise?, what would a new exhaust do for my rx8? What brand is the "best" or good quality? What kind of exhaust makes the deep humming noise?. Thanks for your input

There's a lot of different exhausts out there that are good. It's just how much are you willing to spend. It's more of a personal choice one what to get. What sounds good to you might not sound good to someone else. Go with what you like. Greddy, HKS, agencypower, Borla, exoticspeed are just a few.... Seach and look on YouTube.

^all the above mentioned are good.

there's also a lot to consider when buying an exhaust. how much do you want to spend? how do you like the sound quality? every exhaust will have a different sound. do you want something with a midpipe or just the catback? what size piping are you looking for 2.5"? 3"? do you want something with stainless steel tips or titanium?

I'm about to get an HKS Hi power paired with the AP duel Rez midpipe and I'll see how that sounds...

I don't know how many times this needs to be written out but all aftermarket exhausts are almost identical in performance an weight reduction. The only exhaust I can think of that would be a little bit lighter is the HKS HI-Power. The only thing catback exhaust does on the 8 is change the sound and look....

To OP, youtube is the only place you are going to find what you want, I hope your computer sound system is good enough to differentiate the tones between the brands of exhaust.

And next time please utilize the search button...

HKS HI-Power Unit is fairly cheap and sounds pretty good. Here it is vs a stock unit

My Magnaflo exhaust is freakin awesome, combined with a Cold Air or Short Ram Intake (or the stock intake mod)
