on a side note, i did my first flamethrower 2 weekends ago, they must have been 8 foot long flames, and my exhaust didn't have much soot or any melted plastic.
Take any pics?

No, it's gotten colder and colder since that day. When it warms up I'll video tape it.

drive around for a while, then drive at around 6500 rpm for a minute or so, you should then be able to shoot flames when you rev it. If you stop and screw around, it will cool off and no flames.

Borla. I love it. Sounds great, doesn't turn any wierd colors. It also wasn't $1500. I'd love to have HKS though, it looks saaaweet.

Thumbs up exhaust

I've had rx8store.com's exhaust installed for about 4 months and it still sounds awsome. :D Plus with the straight through magnaflows it uses you can see the flames come out of them in the side mirrors. It's freakin awsome man!! What size of pipe are the other systems made of?

I thought with all the m flash it leaned off the curve and elimanated that effect, or am I wrong?

I had the latest M flash at the time of flameage. The car still runs very rich.

Sorry, I find this a bit hard to believe since the stock exhaust unit is supposed to weigh (17.6 KG) 38.72 lbs. From handling both the stock & Racing Beat units I find it hard to believe that any of the aftermarket units weigh less than 30 lbs, unless they were the titanium units.

Fanman, the borla unit is significantly lighter than the stock unit. I can lift the borla in one hand no problem, the stock unit I'd have problems with one hand, or even two. I don't know the weight though... so I can't say much more than that.

I disagree... some friends of mine and I installed a Borla last summer, but we weighed it first. The Borla weighed about 33 Lbs, the stock exhaust weighed 38 Lbs.

Also keep in mind there is more than one version of the borla exhaust.

When you are talking about the 20 lb. area you are talking near titanium exhaust weight. The Amuse unit for our car weighs 18.5 lbs., though the JIC does weigh around 10 lbs., but unless they have cut out most of the middle canister or go single exhaust there really is no way to cut 50% of the weight unless you use a much lighter material (ala titanium).

The unit I installed was very lite. The Stock unit is very heavy. 20 pounds was what I remember but I have installed the racing beat and it is VERY VERY heavy.
