Wouldn't the cost of Nitrous offset the cost of Gasoline? The nos kit and install are both one time costs, but then you have to refill your bottle. Definately a funner fuel to burn and it should keep the gas tank fuller if your burning other stuff as well.

Just a thought, I'm new and slightly retarded so let me know when I'm wrong.

I wouldn't get NOS I would get Zex. They are two different companies btw.

Anyways; with my intake and pulley I actually get better gas mileage. A noticable amount, too. Some people may not believe me, but I know I get a good amount of extra miles from a tank than I did before.

A properly tuned engine running nitrous (or Nawws, w/e you want to call it) can be just as safe as an engine not running nitrous. You just need to remember, when you hear or observe something out of the ordinary, shut the system down.

Talk to Charles R Hill, he's been running nitrous for years without problems.

tajabaho1: One more thing you have to consider, since you live in CA: with nitrous / turbo / supercharger you won't pass emissions (if you care about that).
Probably not even with an aftermarket intake, unless it is a Mazdaspeed one which (I suppose) does have CARB certification.

I have an AEM CAI, and I think my gas mileage sucks, but the car is fun to drive so I don't mind.

I would put a little bit more psi into the tyres, remove all heavy things out of the car you carry arround without any reason. What you also can do is to shift earlier or go from the first gear directly into the third gear and than into the fith.
