just thought that i would give a quick update!

i've now put 300-400 miles on and no problems... as i have said a few times, it might have just been my car! but since i put the screen in, it has worked flawlessly.

the airhorn is held in by screws in the OE intake box, when you undo those and remove the air horn assy you can (lightly and carefully) push out the back screen, or you can just order the screen material I posted a separate thread about; 1 ft square piece for $3 plus shipping

for your intake I believe it gets sandwiched between the housing and air filter horn

The intake will run fine with the MAG screen in. Without it you will have some issues. I'm running mine with the old tube still and even tho I have the new tube, I put the MAF screen in and it works like a champ.

Well since I wasn't able to get a refund (30 days have passed, meh...) I'm probably gonna end up selling the intake on this forum. Too bad I wont be able to get anywhere near the 300+ dollars I paid for it when it first came out...Oh well, lesson learned.

its not that i feel left out. its just that if the have modified design than obviously the original had a flaw. now i have original. i paid around 250 for it. and i have to hope that they have an extra so i can get it. yet if i were to wait until now i could have saved 60-70 bux and got the upgrade and a decal for the top. though i like the one w/o it but i would proudly support the company by putting one on. sorry bout the rant. oh well

I seriously dont understand why this thread is 24 pages... I installed this intake in about a half hour, with one MAF screen as directed, and the car has been driving back and forth from connecticut to pennsylvania every weekend with not a single problem. Its not rocket science guys. just takes a little common sense.
