Scott,

First and foremost, our emails are private between any one individual we choose to email and another.

Second, please read what is written carefully once more:

No where in that statement do we say that Sstricker is the reason for the install problem. Install error means that a step was necessary to be performed, it was not. Not through any fault of the installer, but through the overall lack of knowledge by all parties (most importantly by Umnitza) on this task.

We're always learning knew things, this is one of those times. The problems we've encountered with this intake - once again - appear to be entirely install related, and not intake related.

Please stay tuned for tracking numbers later tonight.

yes, everyone will have their intakes shipped
we have plenty of stock to cover the remaining orders that have not cancelled (actually only 3 out of the 22 orders cancelled) so we won't have a problem getting them out.

So does this mean a refund is out of the question? I really don't have a need for the intake I have here now...and I don't want to risk stripping the holes on my MAF sensor more than they already are.

If I cant get a refund then I assume your going to ship me the "new and improved" replacement part right?

ok i have a few things to chime in on

1: how do i get a new upgraded thingie? is it free under waranty or what.

2: how does the screen go into new piece?

3: ok my name was brought up in an email, i would prefer that not to happen NOT BECAUSE I'M NOT HAPPY WITH PRODUCT but i don;t want people thinking i work for umnitza or simota, or anything like that. all my opinions on this intake are only based on my experiences. i've pulled intake once to look for oil but didn't see any. so far i'm happy with it. cept for water spots but thats my fault. if anyone has any questions feel free to PM me or ask openly on board.

people please don;t think that i'm working with/for anyone in particular.

If your intake is working, you don't need the upgraded "thingy".
It doesn't change on the install for the screen.

Sorry about your name

I'm curious to know why you're supplying two different MAF tubes?

the screen is easy to install... hell, it wouldn't hurt to install it on the old maf housing! you just remove it from the stocker and place it between the maf/bell housing on the simota!

mine is still working great! i've put a little over 100 miles on it... working/sounding awesome!

Please email us for any questions - it allows us to:
a) look up your order
b) look up information about your parts
c) locate any parts we may or may not have that may or may not help you.

actually you are correct and I was wrong, not sure where my head was , but I deleted my comment

I agree that the narrow tube section on the original intake MAF housing was messed up, not sure what they were thinking ... if anything that would result in a higher velocity for a given airflow, making the PCM think there was more air flow than there actually was, you can't trick this PCM though so most likely it caused error readings under certain conditions
