turbo help

i have 06 rx-8 with the greddy turbo kit. I haven't driven the car yet, but when I rev to about 5k with about 25% throttle the engine will bog and the check engine light will come on. It says that cyl 2 is misfiring, but theres no cyl in this motor. It does sound like its misfiring though. I unplugged the e-manage and and the charge pipe and the car runs fine. i even hooked up the charge pipe and ran the stock ecu and it idled and revved normal. I called greddy and they told me theyre not sure if this e-manage is even compatiable with the 06's. anyone run the e-manage with a 06+? any suggestions on how to fix this? the code it throws is p0302

wow. I would find a local speed shop and have them first take a look at the whole installation to make sure it's installed and working correctly. Next I would find someone that can tune the EMU for you. Under no circumstances should you drive it without the Emanage plugged in as the stock ECU won't know how to respond to the turbo. PM MazdaManiac and send him your tuning MAP. He may be willing to look at it for you and help you out with what is wrong.

It may be just poor tuning but you should make sure everything is working mechanically first before trying to get it tuned.

try searching "p0302". It's a common CEL.

And yes, the EMU is compadable with 2006's

I wonder if he has a Emanage blue, not the EMU though.

Your car needs to be tuned in any case.
