Transmission help

Ok I replaceing my clutchmaster satge 3 clutch that I only been driving on for about 7 months with. Now I have a new clutch installed and I can't get the transmission to fit back in place, I have about and finger tip gap and I been struggling since last night please help or and comments please

you test fit the new clutch/pp --right?
the spline guide is the right one--correct?
Charles hill has an interesting way of doing it and i cant remember the details--pm him he will help
whatever you do DONT used the bolts to tighten it down--the aluminum tabs can break off and you DONT want that.

Yes I got it from the mazda dealership it goes in but the transmission is not sitting close to the engine

Did you use an alignment tool? If you did you may have pooched your pilot bearing

If you didn't...the clutch disc is likely misaligned...use the tool dude

there are two allignment dowells that im sure you are not alligning. the face of the trans has to be flush with the face of the rear engine plate. Also tranny needs to be pretty perpendicular with the front of the car. im sure thats your problem because the clutch really doesnt sit all that close to the motor
