solid bar = stiffer? i'm assuming???

Yeah, the PTs are supposed to be the stiffest you can get. Though, I was looking at the front bar, and you should go with a OEM design front bar (straight) like the RB if you plan on ever going top mount turbo, cause the manifold will probably take up the space that the front bar uses to pivot. I've never seen it in person though, just the standard pics, so take my advice as a grain of salt.

is the greddy a top mount? i'm going to double check...just can't remember....thats what my budget will allow in the next year...so maybe the pt rear and racing beat front??? or what...am i lost here?

Greddy and the MM upgrade are low mount (mounted on the manifold). A top mount setup is like mine(Esmeril), Mazsport type 2, type 3, PTP, SFR.

well i'm planning on getting the greddy....and upgrading from there...so the Protech front and rears should be no problem then right?

if you are twitching to do something right now that you can feel / enjoy..

in order of enjoyment.. this is how i would do it..

af short shifter
hi flow cat or good midpipe (mazsport)
sways. i have the progress tech bars, rays price is silly.
shocks konis or dspecs
springs choose to your needs

wheels light is good
tires sticky is good

now if you are planning for fi and what to spend some money you can see now and are going to be needed later..

gauges
afr / boost / oil temp
sCANalyser Live lots of fun and learning
bhr radiator
mazdamart h2o pump
bhr upcoming oil coolers

beers

i just got an aem wideband...working on those kind of things...so i think thats what i'm going to do after getting my midpipe...start to build up on those kind of things...i have a lot to learn before i throw a turbo in this car...actually i don't have your phone number anymore...i had to get a new phone!!!
