throttle body spacers??

so..ive been thinking of buying a spacer for my 8 for a minute but im curious if any of you guys installed one yet? ive seen spacers on trucks actually make a little more power on the dyno.cant imagine our application would be any different but i dont see a lot of guys that have it which suprises me cause its such a cheap mod.so anyone actually do a before and after dyno run with one? im thinking if i get it i may have to cut my intercooler piping to allow for the spacer which kinda urks me a bit.but if even i net a 3 hp gain i feel it would be worth it..any thoughts pep?

This would assume that the factory intake plenum was poorly designed as far as flow capacity, and this isn't the case. Spacers have been know to help old school V8's etc, and this would make since for an intake system that's only function was to provide air and efficiency. You'd be hard pressed to find tuned intake and exhaust systems on old cars from the factory.

tb spacers are only good if they are tapped and used for n02 or water/meth injection

move the throttle body to the piping before the i/c. that should give you like 30fwhp

and what i meant by 3 hp being worth it is that it is only %) bucks which in the grand scheme of things on how much we have dumped into these cars its not a bad gain considering a cat back gets about that and mine was a grand.of course that also came with the benefit of sound

For what you are asking it's not remotely worth it, even if "let's pretend" it did work and really gave you 3hp for only a couple of dollars.
You wouldn't even feel it next to the boost.

How many PSI are you running?
