Temporary DE-tune
Hi all, I have recently purchased an 04 Six speed. It came with a Greddy turbo kit (which of course was why I made the deal). However the more research I do on this forum the more I've come to realize that all the previous owner did was by the kit and slap it in as it came out of the box. So no AFR, turbo timer....etc. with the exception of a boost gauge. So I am wondering to all of you super tuners out there, would I be able to disconnect power to the emange (if i could ever find the M@#$# F%#@#er) and remove the compressor pipe from the TB and just run a hose from the TB to the MAF if the car would just act NA again until I'm able to afford to buy the parts needed to make the car run proper with the turbo installed?

Voids warranties
This could be just turbo noob talk, but I would thing the turbo lag would be unbearable without the boost to back it up. It would be interesting to hear the charge pipe constantly spooling to no avail though.

Maybe install some cheap filter like Spector brand to provide some resistance?

Dude, just continue researching and fix the car properly. If you bought the car for the kit then don't risk jacking it up. It's obvious you have a lot to learn still if you can't even figure out if you have an E manage or not.

Well you can screw it up big time if you are ******* on it. You need to address this as soon as possible man. If you think you can manage the drive to San Antonio we can check it out see what's up and possibly get you situated. I would suggest buying a Cobb AP ASAP.
