At what point is the stock cat back restricting.

Im FI with the greddy turbo kit. i love the sound and quietness of the stock cat back, but at what point is it restricting flow?

Catalytic Converters restrict flow. The whole canister of the catback "restrict" flow. Why are you bumping your thread after 20 minutes?

ok obviously it has a certain amount of restriction.

Im asking at what point is the stock cat back being TOO restrictive for the turbo.

I think i read some where a while ago the stock exhaust is good for around 350 hp before it becomes too restrictive

I have a straight mid pipe already

im not convinced that its restrictive. since you're running a midpipe you should be ok.

+1

There is a thread with pics of the stock exhaust muffler cut open. Didn't look particularly restrictive. Once you have the cat removed you should be good. On the other hand many of the aftermarket exhausts systems are 3" (OEM is 2.5") so they will flow a bit better.
