My son just got back from his 3rd stent in Iraq. And the first thing he did was buy a new RX-8. I have seen some items on ebay that are called "Pro performance speed chip modules". They are a lil box with 2 leads on each end that are supposed to allow the ECU (electronic control unit) to perform @ maximum performance.
We need to know if the claims of HP boost of 10-20, improved low end torque, and improved throttle responce are valid or if this is just another bogis product.

 

glad he came back safe. To answer your question, they don't do anything waste of money.
Buy a canzoomer stage1 to tweak the settings, hp gain will be depending how well u tune it. Also, greddy released a turbo kit, 3000 which brings 60+hp (manual only) and should give more torque. thats the best route right now is turbo. stay away from ebay! hope this helps.
