I have an hks hi power exhaust and i recently put on an agency power midpipe. Now my car smokes when i start it and it smells like un burnt fuel all the time now.

Reset your fuel trims and go from there. It will always smell like raw fuel now, since you have the midpipe on.

There are two reset procedures, one for the NVRAM and the other for the KAM. Neither will erase your radio presets.

1) With the key in the off position, press and hold the odometer reset button and turn the key to on;
Continue to hold the odo button until the odometer reads "TEST" and then release.
2) Turn the key to off and repeat step one.

This will reset the entire PCM except the KAM which contains the sensor profiles amongst other things. You can reset it with the familiar procedure:

1) Turn the key to on
2) Depress the brake pedal rapidly 20 times in a row until the oil pressure gauge sweeps to halfway and back again.

You should love the fire that comes out of your exhaust now too.

unless you are logging afrs you and have actually seen that it is running richer than it was I suspect it is just the same but because of the cat delte you now smell the gas ....

OP - It is normal.

It runs rich to help preserve the cat. Resetting the KAM and PAM won't do anything much to help how rich it is running.

I have a MM AP i just installed my Agency power midpie dual resonated today....LOUD lol but anyway should i send away for calibration right away or drive it a bit before? Is there anyway to lower the afr myself in the meantime? What are optimal AFR's?...im searching but seeing alot of variance.

actually it's the result of not having a cat converter, congrats on turning your car into a polluting POS, I really wish the EPA would start hunting down and confiscating cars and throwing people in jail for blatantly intentional pollution mongering. There's no excuse for it, the people who do this are too cheap and uncaring to give a damn, scumbags...
