I just got the cat-back installed, I still have the OEM cat on, looking to get a mid pipe soon...

Quality 9 out of 10
The welds seems really nice, everything fit really well, everything lined up perfectly, and no rub or hitting against anything.

The fitting was perfect, the only flaw was that the tip was bend(in pic attached), possibility due to shipping. Maybe on other shipments, the guys at race roots can cover the tip with cardboard or something. But it's fine, hammered it into shape and the extentable tip fit on top of it and can't tell a thing.

Visual 10 out of 10
Looks really good, shiny and polished, everything fit great under the rear valance and can see a little of it from the bottom, and the tip looks awesome.

Sound 10 out of 10
Sound actually a deep tone, doesn't sound bad at all, it is loud but very tolerable. Definitely sound mean, not rasp or whinny, just sound aggressive and deep.
Definitely can hear the radio on my normal level 5 setting, not overwhelming at all.

Great buy, quality product. I'm looking to get a mid pipe to pair it up with it, right now with OEM it sounds pretty good.

Nice video!

That is crazy that the tip on the main exhaust part got that bent up. I guess the packing peanuts didnt do the trick. I may have to look into something else protecting that portion.

If you drive it daily, give it about 2 weeks of some high revs, and it will even sound better . Lot of the guys at our car meet said it has toned down a bit from being as loud as it was. ( i have a mid pipe as well)

Having heard the HKS on a few cars I would say no they are very close. It really varies what combination of exhaust and midpipe you use.

A straight pipe with no cat or resonators will yield the loudest exhaust note versus one with a cat or dual or single resonators.

Yeah I have plans for a Mazdaspeed version Rear lip conversion to a single exit so that the passenger side shroud is deleted.
Can't wait for more updates

has anyone ran a single exit exhaust with a RB or BHR dual res midpipe? Seems like it would yield the best results/sound.

9krpm is running a single exit with a BHR midpipe and from what I have read from his comments is he loves the sound.

I can but it would not be able to ship right away. Take about 2 weeks to be done and I would need payment ahead of time for the order.

Shoot me a pm if you wanted to go ahead and do that.

We are going to be releasing a mazdaspeed style single exit add on lip so it eliminates the empty space. I have talked to the manufacturer already so this is going to happen by next spring most likely.
