Thx you anyone for helping me, alex
Since there's no restriction in a mid-pipe, yes, you should see more power from it. If the high flow cat is really giving 8hp, then I can't imagine a straight pipe freeing up less than 10-12hp.

Interesting….the price aint too bad either….hmmmmm…

Thanks for posting, a high flow exhaust system will be in my future and I love that you saved about 9 pounds from the OEM CAT. Very cool indeed!

10 pounds here, 10 pounds there…5HP here…10HP there, add a lighter flywheel, pulleys, and rims and the 8 should see some significant drops in acceleration times.

Check out the first few pages of this thread, that issue has been covered. I guess once a thread gets over 5 pages people don't read the earlier posts

Hey expo1, I did find my answer it was from Nemesis8 on 3-2-05 , So thanks for being such a Moron, because you had the time to respond as a smart *** but you didn't have the compassion to just reiterate what was said earlier.. Oh well glad I didn't have to depend on you for something major... Thanks

Why should I post something that has already been posted the same thread? People not using search is one thing. People not reading the posts in the thread they are posting in are taking laziness to a new height.

Thumbs up

I installed the super cat midpipe last Thursday. No problems at all during installation and no CEL. I have rode it 200 miles or so. The sound is great to go along with the racing beat cat-back. Not to loud but a noticeable difference. Great bolt-on though, I recommend it to everyone. Thanks Nemesis8 for posting the website to order from.

Awesome - I think that combo, RP + RB, is a winner for sound also.

Just a quick question. How is everyone's gas mileage after putting on the high flow cat and exhaust systems. I travel mostly highway between work and home, a few traffic lights, some back roads to see friends and what not. I dont usually rev pas 5k or so, unless im fooling around, and i get about 18 or so a gallon. I definately want to add more power, but I just wanted to know what to expect my mpg to be.

No but they do put something on the roads, at least up in Skagit/Island Counties. I think it may be sand. I'm liking the weather down here, but missing being up there.

My mileage has gotten worse -- I'm averaging about 13 mpg -- but only because I drive it harder now. The car sounds great.

13 mpg i had my rp midpipe for 2 weeks now and i'm getting it installed right now... i should have my car back with the b&b exhaust and my bootleg ms style poly urethane bodykit (which was really difficult fitting it but came out looking real nice) on friday at latest... i'd be happy with nemesis' 20+ mpg :D

I have had the super cat midpipe installed for about 600 miles now and my gas mileage has stayed about the same. Averaging around 20 mpg.

To follow-up with the issues I was having with the midpipe. The ultimate problem was that my factory oem cat-back pipe was bent slightly upwards, keeping me from being able to create a perfect seal. So small that it was hard to tell, but evident by the audible. I had to take it to a shop to have it slightly adjusted, and problem solved. In my case, unfortunately it wasn't direct fit. I would still recommend the part to anyone considering.

The sound is now greatly reduced but I think is louder at idle in a good way, and sounds great and not obtrusive at wot. I think the car feels more powerful and do notice the sound more from the OEM intake suction.
