i think it sounds great... it sounds totally stock until u punch it! the buttdyno tells me that there is more torque throughout the rpm band. that's as much as i can comment.
i'm just looking for info on whether or not it'd make a difference if i added the rb intake duct or not...

You just described the RB Revi Intake.
I'm not sure if the duct would help all that much on the KN Typhoon since I don't think you can connect the duct directly to your intake. Isn't the typhoon an open air intake?
Won't that just bring in cold air but let it get hot as it enters the engine bay? (before being sucked into intake)

I'd be interested to know if this combo would work though...

Off topic: Ever considered selling the K&N and getting the Revi?

i have the k&n, and it definitely gets loud if you punch it. but its bnot an anoying sound, it just totally enhances the unique rotary sound of your engine.i had my brother do a fly by in it and i almost wet my pants, car feels like its got some ***** now, seriously.

people's butt dynos may tell otherwise, but i don't recall seeing any real noticeable gains from any intakes. butt dynos need to be recalibrated :|

You don't think the plastic heats up at all? It will heat up, just not as fast as the metal. But once it gets hot, it will stay that way for much longer than aluminum. Once you get going on the throttle, after a couple of seconds, I bet that the intake air temps would go down a deal faster than plastic, since it heat soaks a bit more.

i currently have the k&n typhoon & was thinking of adding the rb duct... but, i'm not sure how much more efficient the setup would be... being that the rb duct & k&n filter wouldn't even line up properly
