I still fail to understand why anyone would want to go through the installation and pay $500 for the headers in exchange for 3 (or perhaps 5) HP that you won't even feel

What! ^ That's not true. Your pockect book will feel it.

Besides ... you need to add up the HP gains from all the modifications.

same reason people get intakes and exhausts for that price range.
Gotta pay to play, besides....it sounds awfully nice!!

well if you are staying N/A, every little helps, plus its not only the peak HP we are looking at its also how it affects the power curve of the car. I hate it when people only look at peak #'s, its not all about that.

small power, maybe weight... You won't feel it on a daily driver but if you do autoX or similar "sport" activities where there's competition then any little advantage is.. an advantage!

A friend of mine will be getting the RB header (Early next week). I'll make sure he weighs it and his stock header which is already out of the car.

the stock header is 17lbs. fluid motorsports header is 12lbs. teamrx8s header is 8lbs.

would like to see where the racing beat header stacks up.

From what I remembered weighting it before install in my car using my fishing scale, the header weight around 12 lbs also.

If this is true then there is no need to bother about which one to buy!
an RB vs XSpower comparison would would be like comparing ReAmemiya vs OBX!

Custom stainless logifold. It's not a header.

the rb header is light.. although i do not have the actually measurement. The power you get from it is minimal. It does however create minor problems with heat and what not.

I don't see heat issue so far since it was around 60 degree weather when I had it installed and now it is -20 degree and the car is parked in the garage for the winter. I was debating about whether to wrap it or not but since I don't run the car hard like on the track all the time I would think that the temp of the header would not be that bad plus it sort of located very low to the ground kind of away of the engine compartment. I doubt I will have issue with heat with the sort of weather up here in MN.

You need a heat shield. Funny how they don't recomend a ceramic coating.
