I just bought the DVD grip volume six and they went to Rmagic and talked a very little bit about the ECU they offer but they do say it makes a pretty descent difference. has anyone used it or know if its avail in the USa?

 

I haven't heard anything about it. I knew Feed had an ECU, but not R-Magic.

 

yeah they do a reflash or somethin

the cars are white with purple letters and have a skeleton thing grabbing a rotor it matches there rx7 drift car i think they had em in a super street or something a while back

Oh yeah I have that SS issue. I'll scann it when I get home K. I dont remember if they talk about the R-magic ECU in the 8 but we will see.

 

bunch of jdm companies offer reflashes for the 8. This topic has been beat down many times, it wouldn't work for usdm rx8s.

It's not even a complete reflash, right now they could only partially reflash the ecus, but it's suppose to increase mpg and eliminate fuel cut, for applicable rx8s.

heheh i was at the dealer yesterday and the mechanic asked me about flashes. i told him none were out "yet" in the states (possibly very soon though). he says " i heard one of the japanese companies flashes got here and its putting like 345hp out no modifications." then i told him that it was impossible since the injectors couldnt flow that much, and the engine couldnt breathe that much air NA. told him about Astra Racing in Italy and their flash and SC worth over 350. figured thats what he heard about in a whisper down the lane kind of thing.

the way the japanesse companies are doing it requires you take or send the PCM to them. they will not do an American PCM. just a little longer tho before SniperTuning, Racing Beat or this new (to us that is) Cobb Tuning(here ) has one on the market. bank on that

if it wasn't a 2 day drive each and I'd actually have some spare vacation time from work - way i'd be all over it!!!
