Question: Cat-Back Exhaust

I have a question about cat-back exhausts before I order one.

From my understanding, the rx8 has a sensor in the front and back of the catalytic converter which sends info to the ECU so the engine can run more efficiently and quicker.

If I get a cat-back will I need to re-program my ECU?

And if i decide to totally remove my catalytic converter will I have problems? Need to re-program?

I have an 04 6spd. if that helps.

no.

if you remove your cat, the only thing you will have is a CEL.

CEL meaning Check Engine Light?

And the car does not have hesitations or bogs?

And if i do not remove the cat and just get a catback exhaust will i still have a CEL?
