I agree with this. I'd love one of those, that's even closer to matching the stock trim even!

smaller rear end gears
a way to make the oil pressure gauge in the car a real one, not a dummy one

- 4.777 Final Drive w/o having to import from Japan
- ECU flash capabilities for NA. The Japanese have been doing it for years, why can't we? (Please don't answer that, I've read the discussions)

I agree with the 4.777 final drive.

And a lightweight PPF, and the bumper with the duct would be cool too. And to go along with the bumper some sort of intake box/duct/setup behind it with piping all the way to the TB would be cool.

-Battery Relocation Kit to the rear of the engine compartment like Revolution's with a very very extra small and light battery(Odyssey, or the US ones)
-Urethane bushings for the suspension and engine mounts( A MUST !!!! )
-Light as hell bodykit
-Short shifter for 5mt euro rx-8s
-Ring and pinion for 5mt, a very short one

What he said.

There's probably a market for a good header, Hymee made good power with his but I don't know if it's going to be sold here anytime soon.

It's probably unrealistic to ask for lower compression rotors and a taller 6th for the transmission, and/or stronger driveline parts. Maybe once the price of used 8's falls enough to be a popular project car there will be a market for this kind of stuff, but most are still under warranty.

Ooh, I know. How about something which makes the A/C compressor clutch engage...and STAY engaged. If you listen closely you can actually hear the compressor kick on for 5 seconds and then cut off for another 20. Anyway the dealers can't seem to do anything, as this is a deliberate act by Mazda, the computer is doing this intentionally, I assume it's a lame MPG fix. Well I don't care about saving 1 MPG, I want to freeze my ***** off. Come up with a fix and I will be your best friend forever. Otherwise I'll have to come up with some sort of radio shack fix, and sever the link from computer to compressor clutch.

Seems that the 4.777 and transmission stuff is very popular!

Keep em coming!

What do you guys think about a 1 52mm gauge pod that replaces the steering column (the flat plastic bit behind the steering wheel) Or even one that fits in a GReddy profec B in that spot?

Would that block the tachometer?

Would be a good place for a water temp or boost gauge. Don't you guys already have something like that for the 7?

Here's another thing that came to mind...how about just a basic longer dipstick and dipstick tube extension. As we all know, checking the oil when the engine is warm basically requires wearing gloves to reach down there safely. It's just a real pain to do.

the picabove is the one for the 7, and it doesnt block the tach, depending on how your wheel is positioned. It may block the 0 rpm area at most

my wish list:
1) +1 _working_ oil temp. gauge. i mean jesus h. ppl. the stock one _doesn't_ work!
2) +1 urethane suspension bushings and engine mounts (i can't believe these aren't available yet from energy suspension...)
3) +1 header
4) +1 ECU flash

Something like the SCT for Ford ECUs. My wife has a SCT from TroyerPerformance.com - I'm tellin' ya, at LEAST 20-30HP and like torque increase (assDyno) based on a 5 minute 'flash' of the ECU. It came with three pre-set tunes and kicks all kinds of ***. Something like that for the RX8 and I'd be in love.

YES - lower rear-end gears would be great!

Little Plugs to block off the under-seat heater vents; as in the winter all the warm air goes there.

Fuel Tank fix to prevent starvation during cornering
a performance ECU flash
Urethane suspension bushings

How about a set of aluminum pieces to replace the aluminum looking plastic on the sides of the console. I hate not being able to buff out the scratches on those things.

Im surprised at how popular the 4.777 final drive is!

Give you a nice low end, although it will kill your gas milage

wouldn't first gear be almost useless with a 4.77? I'm all for low end, but I would think you would be just spinning your wheels.

I'd actually like lower gearing level than our stock 4.44

I think with FI, it would be pointless, but NA it would be nice.
