Oil Filter

hey guys, yup yup, I know we have discussed engine oil in billions of threads, but I haven't seen one for an Oil Filter yet

and since I am already bored of the crappy OEM oil filter from mazda, I would like to find out what are some good oil filters for the rx8 out there

right now I'm thinking of

K&N HP-1008

please feel free to add more : need brand, and the parts number for the rx8

The only good thing about K&N filter, which I use, is the top 1" bolt head, makes it Much easier to remove.

I have a Oil filter wrench but it always slips off the regular filters.

I use K&N, 9 bux each, not that much expensive. Good filters like WiX cost 5-6 bucks. Is it worth the extra 3 dollars just for the 1" head, you have to think.

and OEM filter is not crappy ...

Oh, You can get HP-1010, it has the same size except that 1010 is taller than 1008. More areas.

I read a comparison with most major brands, and Mobil one came out on top.

I dont think I can use 1010 anymore, the oil filter sandwich takes a lot of space.
