I'd always heard that you do not want to wrap stainless header pipes as you had a higher chance of cracking the welds. Stainless expands a decent amount with heat. Holding more heat into it would only make it expand more.

Oil Injection
the header on my miata was ceramic coated inside and out with JetHot and then wraped, even after a hard run, it was hot, but you could touch it, and kept the head inside down.

Granted I was only in metallurgy for about one semester and have only welded all types of metals and alloys for 8 years, but what I have learned is that stainless is just that, "Stain Less". It is not rust proof, it is only treated to prevent rust, not stop it. It is very smart to apply a rust prevention coating or spray paint rusting on your pipes if they are going to be wrapped or exposed to salty areas. Be smart with the money you invest in your vehicle.

welder --> mechanical engineering degree --> engineer in industry that uses stainless exclusively in it's processes --> sales engineer for stainless steel process equipment manufacturer
I deal with this day in and out, it's unlikely that you will shed light on something stainless-related that I don't already have direct experience with
It makes sense to invest in things in which you personally will see a return benefit from, hopefully somebody 50 yrs from now will appreciate the thought.
I wouldn't have done it that way, but that's just me ... it wasn't my intention to hijack the thread.
Is somebody actually going to install the d*mn thing????

well I've seen the results of corrosion on austenetic stainless steels. Sure it corrodes much less than carbon steel, but it corrodes (sometimes catastrophically). Bending it, welding it, heating it, and exposing it to corrosive environments aids its corrosion greatly.

hmm.. I'm really skeptical about this header , weather it's going to give decent amount of power or not...
I think 300 bucks for 5+ not really worth it then again if you are one of those guys that need every little hp out their. Well then i guess go for it... Wait i think i kinda fall into that category!
I just want to see some dynos on it =]
