^ Yep, stock exhaust but I'm still looking to buy a high-flow cat. I can't get my car too loud, coz I street-tune. Gotta keep quiet at night

Well guys have some good and bad NEWS we could not use the 75 shot as i wanted too.Car dynoed 189 then 213 with the ric shaw ecu

Car dynoed 213 without nitrous.only exhaust, intake, headers, high flow cat,ric shaw ecu

With nitrous car dynoed 243 to the wheels with a 50 shot

Still very happy with the results but would want a 75 in the future

not too shabby, particularly since it's a Mustang dyno.

Yeah.. Give it up Did you also have to purchase a harness or does it come with one?

Also.. Does it fit in the stock location or did you have to reposition it?

There was one a long time ago. I don't even know if the ecu is still available.

M8 has already dynoed the $1200 set of headers and I think he got about 2 hp. He is getting this one because he likes the sound (NOT EXPECTING A LOT OF GAIN HERE, BUT WHAT THE HECK) and lets face it, less than 300 is a heck of a lot better than 1200! He also dynoed the RP highflow cat/midpipe(without the header) and actually loss 1 hp. Go figue. Of course he dynos;205 with a revi intake, light flywheel, RB cat and ssr wheels. I think he has a Tandy ecu piggyback and moonshine in the tank!

That is more of what I'm interested in, I realize the power gains will be minimal, but what kind of sound change are we looking at here?

all M* would say is it sounds like "headers" (he was running the cat back also. no high flow/midpipe) a little more like a "tuned" car.

I'm speculating that the sound would be deeper. Why? Because the exhaust gases may have more gap between each other inside that tight pipe. The longer the wave length, the lower the note

I imagine it would be hard. I've checked the space and it looks very tight. The manual even talks about removal of the engine. Or was it engine mounts? I'll check it again.

You do have to remove the passenger side motor mount. I did it with a car on a lift and a transmission jack holding up the engine. Obviously this isn't a feasible way to do it for most. Put the car up on jackstands, and place the jack under the transmission bellhousing. You only want it to just touch. Then remove all of the engine mount bolts on the passenger side. You may have to adjust the jack height but it has to be there. You'll have to figure out how to turn the mount so it comes out. Obviously you'll need to remove the exhaust back through the midpipe. Only after you do all of this can you get to the exhaust manifold. It's a pain but not impossible.

Thats what all of us that installed the turbo ourselves had to go through. Getting those bolts off the motor mount is a bitch. I'm probably the most ghetto of the whole bunch. I first had the front end of the car resting on two jack stands, about 15 in high. Because of the height, my jack wouldn't reach the flat point of the transmition, so I used a brick to make up the difference. It worked just fine.
If you think that is bad, the first time I installed lowering springs at izoomzoomi's house, my spring compressor broke, so I used my shoe laces to keep the spring compressed, and cut them slowly to uncompress them.

Charlie at Mazcare said he put the other one on in a little over 1 hr. Now this one may be a slightly differant design-- I dont know, that could cause it to be more difficult. I also dont know his secret. Call them--- great guys, good service. It should not be a $400 job.

Amemiya header took me about an hour on the lift. It's not a big deal to do if you look closely at how it fits. In the driveway might be a beeaaatch though. I am hoping to at least get a small gain from the OBX but I am not holding my breath.
I will test it with the rb exhaust as well as the jic titanium that I am running now.
How bout 17lbs vs 50 on the rb!! I have not dynoed the jic yet as I only installed it on friday afternoon but I'll hit the dyno this week and findout.
