That makes sense.

I have to admit that I'd be happy to have the OBX catback on my car from the sounds of it.

sounds pretty good zoomzoom5, this guy i met at starbucks had that exhaust on his car, he revved it and it sounded just like yours, but he told me that there is two OBX's one is just the OBX exhaust and the other is the OBX-R... which do you have?

In fact there is another type, mine came last week sealed inside the OBX box but is labeled on the RT tip, as Forza Tuning.

ok, well the my 04 finally received the same treatment of 05 got by way of a new obx exhaust system. Actually I've had it for a while but finally just opened it up and installed it.

I really do love this exhaust. Cheap, made surprisingly well and sounds like God himself made it.

I did notice that since I ordered the first one, some improvements have been made. Better welds, better construction of the muffler, bigger tips, it's lighter and sounds deeper.

It really is good value for money.

Wanted to chime in with my thanks for trying the "unknown" ebay brand. I'm seriously considering this exhaust for my 8. I want a more aggressive sound under throttle (to remind me I'm driving a sports car =). I'm under no illusions that it will give me any HP/torque gain. Looks like for the price it can't be beat.

So yeah, thanks again!

How much louder is it? I just want something so the car has a little more tone to it instead of sounding like an econobox, but I don't want to have to have any hassle any time I drive by a cop.

Sorry for the epic bump, but just want to see if other people have this exhaust system, and if so can we get some more clips?

Also, if anybody has bought one recently, do they come with hardware yet? I would have no idea where to get it if it didn't...

What hardware? I'm pretty sure you would just re-use your old nuts and bolts if it didn't come with any.

Everyone who bought it in this thread talked about buying new hardware and a gasket.

Hmmm... well, if worst comes to worst.. finding bolts isn't very hard. As for a gasket... the last time I bought an axleback, and I needed a new gasket... I just went to PepBoys with the muffler. The guy there was cool, and just let me take a handful of different ones out there till I found one that fit.

I bought this exhaust recently and I agree with supergoat. sounds good, good fit, and surprisingly well made. i just took the muffler into napa and they matched up a gasket and hardware. just use the stock hardware for the cat converter.

Thumbs up OBX ebay cat-back

Mine should be on its way from cali... i'll post a vid soon as it gets here and I put it on... the vid clip sounds really nice, not raspy or tinny. Considering the prices of other exhaust setups, this gets my vote !!!

I'd stay away from the headers though.

Hmmm, I never had any issue with my OBX header.

If you are referring to the red hot dyno run that Charley did at Mazcare, I can verify that after running it for a year it did not cause any heat problems with the area around it.
