Nice supergoat. Good thread and video.

If you need more bandwidth AMD and Streamload are giving away 25 GB online storage with 1 GB a month download limit. (upload of course is unlimited)

I believe the rasp is caused by the air pump during warm up.

That pump is very powerful from what I have read.

I think every exhaust for the 8 sounds better after warm up.

so to ask again...

how heavy is this thing? 41 lbs? the stock one must be about the same

and will it sound as good with the stock cat?

if I were to get it and remove (plasma cutter way) the nipple that it has on there and simply cover that part with more metal, will it sound a bit better?

Fearsomefatman, I have no idea. Sorry.

After owning it for a few months I'm still very happy with it. Still sounds good, looks good and it has no signs of rust. Hasn't fallen apart either.

I stand by my descision so far to keep it.

Why would you want to cut the "nipple" off?

I think it would just make it louder.

the exhaust came today, i got the exhaust on less the hour and 10 min..

it fit perfect all the hanger and all.and it about a 1 1/2 from the heat shied

it not as loud then i was think it was going to be.but it sound nice

so i guess it a perfect fit for an auto rx8,but i did have to buy bolts,i tried to fine a gasket for it but no one had one to fit it so,i got some high temp sealer.

I found that NAPA auto parts has an array of exhaust gaskets that can be used.

They don't have the number in their books for stock yet but if you measure the distance from bolt to bolt and then the diameter of the pipe it is fairly easy to tell which one will do the job.

For aftermarket exhausts this is the best method for finding the correct pre-made gasket to use.

Agreed. Napa is where I got the gasket for this kit at. Once I get this exhaust again(on it's way) I'll hit up Napa for the gasket again.
