Talking Not alot of power gain with I/H/E?? =(

Hey guys, been poking around out there looking for intakes, headers, and exhausts and which gives the most power...

Intakes..

Most of the sites say that their intakes yield 10-12hp or around there....However many on the forums say that stock is as good as any

Headers...

Only 1-2 hp??!?!? not sure what the brand was...closed the page once i saw that crappy gain =(

Exhausts...

Once again, vendor sites say a good increase in power, but many people on the forums say that stock is still almost as good...

Curious as to how you'd get any decent power outta these things without going Turbo/SC Pulleys can't be the only way to go...

I guess after researching I'm finding out that there is a lot of mixed information out there on what parts give the most gains.

Anyone out there with first hand experience on good gains from parts??? (FI doesn't count )

thanks again guys

Yea, checked out the sticky with all the different FI dynos. Greddy looks like it puts down some nice numbers for the price...I'm guessing that's the Greddy kit with the MM upgrade? or whoever? haha.

if you want 30hp you can get it N/A but it does not come cheap .
Intake is waste of money IMO - these combined will give you quick 8
*piggyback ECU
*Catless Exhaust system
*LW flywheel
*underdrive pulley
*modify stock intake
*RB ram air duct

Yea, I've seen many package deals that yield some decent power. (Many pages bookmarked now haha.)

SR Motors intake?

http://www.srmotorsports.com/RX8_Per...ake_Parts.html

Dyno =201hp > the 187hp Stock

Anyone with this intake put down these kinds of numbers?

I'm thinking going greddy turbo, and immediately grabbing the upgrade kit...anyone else tried this?

Yea, i figured that, but with most of these packages going for around 2k+
and only 20-35ish gains, FI is the way to go even with the extra $$$ you'd put into it.

New to the rotary thing, not sure how much these things can take

Wow, didn't know No2 picked these cars up that much

Nitrous might be a good temporary fix for my power problems...but I'm really wanting to get up around 300+whp, without the drawbacks of nitrous of course..Constant filling...and worry about damaging anything.

I've heard good things about PTP's products...might go that route
