Go to SS9 in a couple weeks. You should be able to see plenty of options there. Besides, you are just a few miles away from the event, and it is free. If you don't go, you kinda suck. You drive a rotary powered vehicle and live close the "Rotary Mecca". People fly in from all over the world just to go to SS9. So make sure you come down.

What do you mean keep the car stock? The general nature of modding changes it from stock. You also have turbo, porting, Nitrous, ITB's seem to be getting popular in Japan.

in that case all you have left is porting and an agressive tune. I was in my local Mitsuwa and saw a magazine with he Panspeed rx-8 which had ITB's and another one that had racing beat rx-8 parts on the cover. I will see if there i s a link or pic somewhere.......

I doubt the ITB's would add much if any HP. You will get really good throttle response. A friend of mine has them on his AE86 and they give crazy good response. Getting around the drive by wire system would be a chore and you would loose your cruise control.

(Still searching for pictures.......)

I driven a turboed Prelude with ITBs before and the throttle response on that thing was wicked fast... ITBs get you as close to instantanious throttle response as i could imagine possible. Not to mention, they sound badass, like an F1 car.
Dont see how the Renesis could benifit from ITBs though, our drive by wire system is already pretty damn efficiant aint it?

its hard to make negative or positive claims about ITB's if no one here has done it yet to a renesis...i think it would make decent power (for what it is) but the price of it, you'd be better off going with a turbo kit or squeezing juice.
