Your not suppose to use header wrap because it will deteriate the metal. Racing Beat suggest jet coating (about $200) and or making a heatshield. I will most likely do both at some point.

I will be building one this weekend so I can show you about how it should look.

^ With my extremely loud Agency Power cat-less mid-pipe; where I work all there is, is red necks that I woud hear saying "I hate that damn thing" Or "why didnt you buy a Chevy or a Ford", "That thing looks weird". I cant wait to get my Pettit Supercharger and jet coated headers so I can say "yea that thing has 400 hp and is faster than the your beloved new Camaro SS that has a 425 hp V8 in it". I figure with a great tune, the SC and Headers I can make 330-335 rwhp.

I am seeking a way to quiet down my car without sacrificing gains.... would a header (rb perhaps) make it louder or just change the tone? I have a greddy sp2.... but i'm going o get rid of that soon.
