need help- header for $197.50 shipped. good deal?

i'm getting an offer for BoostBrothers Mazda RX-8 Header ...link deleted, not allowed...........S.....it is something just like the link.
I can buy the same one from the link, brand new for 197.50 shipped to my door.
this is supposedly a copy of the exoticspeed header. I don't know much about exoticspeed although they have a dynochart in their website that shows some gains.

Should i just take this and see what it's like? or save my $200 and get something else down the road?

Get Fluid's header.

Fitment will be way better. Getting a cheap ebay knockoff risks quality..

Unless you don't care about your car and feel like putting in the work to install it (or get it installed), to find it won't fit properly.

Ultimately, just because it has a dyno graph, doesn't mean the knockoff will yield the same results.. Just because Fluid's doesn't have a dyno chart doesn't mean it's not worth the extra money..

thanks for the reply.
although, i'd rather get racing beat headers, over fluid's.
it's just that 197.50 is really cheap.
cheaper than OBX~!

OBX has terrible fitment issues.

A cheaper header will yield even worse issues.

It's your money, and your car, but I don't recommend it.

Yes... last time I checked there was no dyno in that thread. Now I can't find the thread, looks like it got deleted.

In either case I would not get a replica by any means.

I have an ExoticSpeed exhaust and I am very happy with it, I would buy my midpipe and header from them if they cut me a nice deal.

Fluid's designs also look good but I would tread cautiously given the lack of dynos and more community feedback (also frequent thread deletions). Nothing against Fluid, I've ordered from him before and the minor issues were resolved quickly enough.

Heard good things about Racing Beat, and they're well established. Safe but possible more expensive option.

In either case I would definitely get one of the above 3 headers and steer clear of OBX or any replicas.

In response the header thread being deleted.

Long story short I was lied to from the beta tester I originally sold it to.

Lied to me about installing it.

Lied to me about Dyno'ing it.

Then sold to another member for a $200 Profit in his own pocket, after I gave him insane price on it.

He then has the audacity to make up some bs about how he knows who makes it when he actually doesn't.

I stopped the thread because I didn't want the hype to get out of control.

I currently am reviewing the situation, customers that ordered the headers are still getting them.

End of Discussion.

I do not wish to complain about the member that did this to me, he has his own **** storm to deal with his personal issues.

I thought he was a good friend.

To say the least I am upset about the situation, becasue he was supposed to be beta testing for me and didn't.

Moving on and addressing current customers needs.

Pretty sure he did have it on his car.

I'm not the one to draw these arguments out though.

Take that however you'd like.

I am not one to argue, but when someone has had it on the car for a month and the new owner shows me pics.....

Anyway, for my customers you should have no concern, like always I will take care of you.

Wow that sucks man. What an ***.
Anyway trustbuddy, get a used OBX. I got one and a used RB race Pipe. Race Pipe works great. As for the OBX Header you just need a gasket. I got my OBX Header used for $200.00

It requires removing a motor mount. Its pretty tight. Some people have removed both mounts to get a little more room to work with.

That's a very shitty deal. Hope the next one works out for you as I was pretty excited to see the header in action.

Just keep in mind... people become scared if they think things are being hidden. If this was posted somewhere in your forum it would probably instill a lot more confidence than a huge thread disappearing.
