Need an exhaust system

I'd like everyones opinion on what the best exhaust system for the money would be for on my son's RX 8. I would like to order him one for Christmas and would appreciate some suggestions.

It doesn't state a location on your ID. There are strict laws in certain states (like California) where an exhaust system can't be of certain decibel levels.

You may want to check your local laws regarding this issue because the last thing you would want is your son getting pulled over by the local law enforcement for a loud exhaust.

If you want something mellow, I recommend getting the system that I have. It's the dual canister Mazdaspeed exhaust.

It has a mellow tone (about 3-4 decibels louder than stock I believe) and will keep the police from pulling him over. They look great too.

Stay away from the HKS, Turbo XS, Agency Power, and Exoticspeed exhausts if you want a quieter exhaust system.

It was a toss-up between the Racing Beat & TurboXS, The TurboXS won out, ordered yesterday. Great Price but won't install till spring ,8 in storage.

turboxs is very high quality. have you ever seen one greg? the welds are top notch, the metal is nice and thick. how can you imply its poor quality? i've never seen any of them fail, like the JIC titanium exhausts. in fact, the only issue with them is the tips being so short, but they have rectified that now.

yeah I ve seen one. Maybe I worded my post wrongly. I was just saying go for quality parts, it seemed to me that the OP was intending for a minute that they were basing thier decision off the premise of picking the cheapest one, thats all. And your right about the JIC Ti Exhaust, doesnt hold up to well to seasonal weather,,,

I love the sound of my HKS Hi-Power.

I would recommend checking out youtube or some video site and listening to all the different exhaust notes till you find the one you like. Cat-back Exhaust does basically nothing to increase the power output of our cars, so I based my decision solely on the sound vs cost.
