Midpipe install

I most likely will be installing the B&B midpipe tomorrow but first i have a question. I read here that someone who installed it said they needed a gasket. Do i have to go to mazda and order one (what would be the part i ask for?) or can i pick up one from a store or something. Also, whats the usual price range. Thanks

If you are careful you can re-use the crush ring that is located between the exhaust manifold and the cat flange by using a bit of Permatex Copper gasket sealer for exhaust manifolds. Also, the braided stainless "doughnut" between the mid-pipe and cat-back part of the exhaust system can be reused.

I have had a persistent CEL since I swapped intakes over a year ago. I though no cat was the issue but if it is possible to get the light to shut off even with my mods I'll take another stab at it.

I know yours is catless, I was wondering about the B&B.

CH - RX7.com is designing a high flow CAT midpipe with silencer currently. Isn't this where you got your midpipe? So, is Bonez making all their midpipes I wonder? From an e-mail: "We are currently working a new cat design for the RX-8. Stay tuned to the web-site as it will be released there. Thanks, Rocky"

My BB had no CAT or resonator, but I welded a straight-thru resonator onto it in the OEM position, which alleviated most of the "buzz".
