Exclamation Weapon-R intake? Did they really make this?

I remember a Weapon-R rep came in here to ask for a guinea pig for their RX-8 intake. Now I saw this on ebay:

I wonder what happened to that R&D.

Its garbage--they make alot of generic low end intakes for 'ricers' Its a universal fit--and I use the term 'fit' loosely.

Don't see any way to connect the MAF to that intake. The one in the pic must not be the one for the 8. As with any performace MOD listed on Ebay BEWARE!!

Even the name of that company screams Rice.
Weapon... please... honestly, I have not seen any product from them that'd be worth anything, but what do I know...

all they do is copy other products and put their name on it..........they did it with MSDS headers and a cold air intake both for the mercury cougar and contour luckily the person who does the copying is a ninkumput(sp) and cant even do that right.......they botched the headers by leaving out a flang and the intake is very shabby

My brother bought a cold air intake from them for his Cougar. POS!
Was not desinged to fit, called them to tell them they sent the wrong unit, they say they did not, unit STILL doesnt fit. Even if it did, it looked crappy. Nothing as nice as the online pictures depict.

Screw turbo's, I'm gettin this!!

"It is possible by Weapon*R's Patent Pending Speed Velocity theory, By creating a higher airspeed in the intake path you increase airmass and airspeed, which greatly increase horsepower. "

Weapon R's R+D department consists of taking another product on the market, copying it, making it with inferior materials, then trying to undercut the company they took the design from.
