Mazda Competition Program??

Back a few years ago I remember there was this thing called the "Mazda Competition Program" where basically if you had a Mazda and raced it (at least 2 slips needed per year - could be anything from a drag time slip to an autocross receipt) they would send you a Mazdaspeed Catalogue and you received a deep discount on all the performance (non appearance) parts in it (thus actually making the Mazdaspeed parts affordable).

I was wondering if it still exists... I can't seem to find anything like it on the Mazda homepage anymore

Yup, still exists, lots of Miata owners are members. Autocross results will qualify you for membership, and they no longer sell anything to non-members. There are some great deals available to Miata owners!

Gordon

I saw that mazdamotorsports thing but wasn't sure if that was the same thing with the discounts.

...me wonders how much a pair of mazdaspeed swaybars and coilovers would cost through this program. Anyone have a clue out there?

Anybody have a clue how to actually log in to this site?

I (think) I have all the fields filled in, and it keeps telling my something is missing.

You seam to need to be a "Team Support Member" at some point to get access, but it gives no information on you to become a Team Support Memeber.

Mazda Motorsports does not distribute Mazdaspeed products anymore. As of now they dont sell anything for the RX-8 other than some stock parts.

Clicking on Info and then Membership takes you to this page, which contains information on membership. :p

By doing this, are you voiding your warranty b/c you are stating you are "racers competing in all forms of racing"... I've seen stories on this board about Mazda turning down warranty work b/c someone was "racing" their car.

Thanks!
Once you know where to look it seems painfully obvious.

Why they wouldn't link to that every time they mention the program is beyond me...

anyone hear about that program all RX-8 owners were supposed to get with their purchase. I read in Banzai magazine that owners were supposed to receive a class teaching people about the rotary engine and how to care for it and to maximize performance with the rx-8
