Loud exhaust and intake????

I have a 2004 rx8 and i want to put in a new exhaust and intake, but i dont know which to buy. Im looking for a loud exhaust that will be heard when you turn the car on and screams when you hit high rpms. I heard the B&B screams but i dont know much about it. I also heard the Borlas are quiet. ?

K&n intake is considerably louder then the mazdaspeed intake but you will loose power with it

Go with AEM/MS/RB intake and hks single outlet/exotic speed/agency power exhaust. The loudest out there for our car is turbo xs with racepipe (this set up is extremely loud). You got two ways of figuring out what you like. The one is youtube and the other one is to search for other rx8s with similar set up.

I am sure a non resonated midpipe and the HKS single outlet is the loudest and easiest to obtain right now

I'd recommend going to you tube and watching some videos of different set ups. This is the approach I took. Also keep in mind you don't want it too loud unless you like getting pulled over, as was mentioned by Jedi54. I went with the K&N Typhoon V2, rx7store high flow cat, and GReddy SE exhaust.

someone already did that, years ago.
I don't remember the thread, was probably at least 3 years ago but they swapped the V1 K&N and peak hp was lower then with oem.

What wanting a really loud exhaust really says about you:

Seriously dude, i understand the want to make more power, but you don't have to annoy the **** out of people on the road- Go for something that sounds good to you AND has hp/tq gains. Don't just be loud to be loud- You'll earn more respect with a quiet exhaust that gains minimal gains than a LOUD exhaust wtih minimally larger gains, and we're talking 1-2 hp and less torque difference here.

Not intending to be an *******, just tired of this question, that's all.

i think im gonna hold off on the exhaust until after the intake. and yeah i was thinking id rather have a good sound than just a loud one. But i like the sound of the k&n intake so thats what im leaning towards

I would stay away from short ram intakes. Not sure where you live but if it gets hot your 8 will not like the 30 to 40 degrees above AMB IAT!

I say racing beat or AEM/Mazdaspeed if you must buy an intake.

Just watch out the louder you are, the more attention you get, and more chance to get ticket (noise violation) ....
