no, it still has the stock cat and resonator. I had a straight pipe on it where the muffler now is and that was extremely loud, painful even with the windows up, a very high pitched frequency buzz that drilled right into the core of your brain. The muffler knocked that off. It's louder than what some people would want on the street, but I wouldn't call it extreme. It doesn't get driven much on the street anyways so the loudness isn't that critical to me as long as it's not nauseating. Since nobody else here has one or has heard it they're not really in a position to say what it is or isn't. It's lighter than the Ti and it cost only 1/3 as much. Some of thoe Ti exhausts are get quite loud over time and they're not repackable like this muffler is.

Longshot but any chance you can get a recording of idle an revving? That muffler looks perfect for the setup I'm thinking of making for my car (ie one muffler and dual tips in the stock location still).

If there's any chance you could get a recording of it that'd be cool, but if not oh well I guess I'll have to find out on my own

idle is quite quiet, certain loads and rpm are rather boomy though, but oh so sweet under power

that's a 2.5" ID x 4.5" OD x 17" long, a longer one would be more quiet (whish is hy I went with 4.5" OD rather 3.5", more silencing) but also heavier in addition to the extra piping required to turn it for fitment within the space confines, extra cost too. If you want a dual outlet you might just consider a Borla etc oval with single inlet/dual outlet configuration, there are several writeups on using the Borla muffler (though single outlet)

another way to get it quieter is to run the pipe outlet out past the bumper by several inches, I didn't want to do this though

most of the inerior noise from mine is due to the outlet still being within the confines of the bodywork and resultant reverberations
