OD, did you fill in the entire mount cavity with urethane or just the top and bottom?

top and bottom? Huh--dont know what ya mean dude---once to take the internal baffles out --its one big open space. The top part of the motor mount is solid rubber.

maybe I got it all wrong LOL I was under the impression that you used the polyurethane to fill in the gap on the side of the mount. I was thinking that by cavity, you meant the area where you placed the rubber pieces that you made. And I thought that you used polyurethane as a more solid/stiffer replacement for the rubber. Which lead to my question, if you filled that area entirely or just the top and bottom portion of the gap. sorry 'bout the confusion and I hope that my explanation wasn't as confusing as my initial question.

oh i see where the confusion is.
there are 2 options.
1- is to fill the gaps like what you are saying and with that you can choose what to like to do it . just find some rubber pads from anywhere--trim some hard rubber laying around to fit etc. this should help with a na car.
2- the second option (for cars with forced induction) is to drain all the oil out of the mm, take out all the internals and fill the mount with polyurethane. his is what I did. a NA car should not need this rigid of a mm.
Does that clear it up some?

It's a japan thing, putting rings around it makes it more rigid......

my mounts are still good. Definite improvement over oem. Throttle response and shifting noticeably improved. I think i have had them on the car for a year now? NP and i do have more power than some.
, Unless you really , really look for it, there is no nvh noticeable.
Talk to Paul at Mazmart if anyone is interested. I can make them.
They are more complicated to make than just ripping out their guts and filling with a poly. The oem mounts are pretty sophisticated having breakaway features etc. i was able to keep that feature in a more limited manner.

Wow... Thx guys for the info, but this is depressing.
Under warranty my 8 came up on low compression and the dealership is replacing my block. Told me I need new engine mounts; which i have to pay for. So I don't want to have to keep replacing them after a like every 2 years like some people said happen to them. Is there any mounts out there that are worth instead of the OEM??? Please let me know I have only a few days to make a purchase.
