Maybe if its 40 degrees outside, your car is barely warmed up, you have a ram air duct, your intake is fully enclosed to avoid sucking in warm air, and you were using 100 octane racing fuel, you MIGHT see a 10 horsepower gain. MIGHT.
Thats funny because 100 octane gas wouldn't do anything for a stock motor the compression is not high enough to make usefull power from the combustion.

Here's the thing...

How long do you drive at 8700 RPM? Less than a second.

Most of us believe that it looses power.

Try going to a local club meet. You might see and hear one in person.

Gullible isnt name calling, its an adjective to describe how easily you are decieved or convinced.

This intake, under normal driving temps and conditions, DOES NOT GIVE 10 WHP.

If you would like to disagree, feel free to visit your local dyno and take a run with the intake and without and Im willing to bet my car that you will not have 10 extra horsepower; hell Ill take it further to say YOU WONT EVEN HAVE 5 EXTRA HORSEPOWER.

Theres a reason why damn near every K&N owner says the same thing, we wouldnt lie to ya

Indeed, 10HP won't come out of this loud sexy intake, thats all it is, a cosmetic and loud intake.

I installed the K&N Typhoon ver 2 now and I must say I feel like the car is a little bit sharper and more responsive. It may be the sound that's decieving me but it's atleast not any slower. It's -5 C to 5 C these days though so that might be why. We'll see during spring/summer if there's any loss of power.
