Just installed HKS twin amplifier.

Well so far im please with it..i installed the amplifier, 4 new plugs, 4 new coils and some wires too. Runs very good.

im surprised one of my coils didnt have any burnt mark on the bottom. It was the rear leading. all my other coils had small marks nothing really big. here is my spark plugs. changed them at 37,000 miles

so im guessing my coils are still good to be using there not even white on the bottom..so ya im keeping them as my backup.

sorry for the crappy pics camra phone :-/

I understand what the twin power does but is there an actual effect? Hmm, time for some searching...

well ya better spark, more power to the coils, better burn inside the rotor housing, more power (not much but a lil)...

it sucks there was not many places to mount it.

It actually doesn't provide more power to the coils - it merely acts as a switch, turning off the path to power each time the coils fire.
This "sharpens" the collapse of the field in the coil and "compresses" the spark, keeping the power that flows to the coil moving in one direction.
It is effective, however.
It won't make your coils last any longer, though.

White spots on the bottom of the coils are mostly meaningless, so not having one on a particular coil doesn't tell you anything.
