i was wondering if any1 had some clips of the titanium exhausts?
btw can some1 clear this up for me? can i get a midpipe and pass expections? or does the midpipe eliminate the cat ?
so would i have to go High flow cat/exhaust?
thanks - josh

i dont think there is one state you will pass inspection except florida
without a cataltic converter.
only reason i know florida is because here isnt any inspection centers.lol
p.s midpipe usually is a elimantion of cat or cats so....

Yeah. Florida doesn't have inspections. But then again, it's Florida.
I hate to sound like a butt, but what is the point of having a titanium exhaust system? Does it flow better than stainless steel? With respect to the weight, I do not think a titanium exhaust system is worth the money. If you think about it, the change in the weight is small compared to stainless steel. Well, at least JIC's exhaust sounds like the stocker's; I would dread it if my exhaust sounded like a bunch of angry wasps.

do you guys think the borla is good because on rx8 store you see a good pic of the borla exhaust and it looks like it gives you a great gain because of the thick inch piping and less curves unlike the other exhausts like greddy

Do you find the K&N intake takes away power? I've just got the K&N intake and I'm noticing a power loss or is it just me?

The stock exhaust was a lot heavier than the titanium version. In general Titanium units are 50%-60% lighter than a similar stainless steel version. You could save 20-30 lbs. off this car.
This is an excerpt from the description of the Amuse Titanium unit for the RX8 :
"Powerhouse Amuse's Titanium Dual Exhaust for the RX8. Saves more than 52% over the stock exhaust weight. (17.6kg (38.72 lbs.)-->8.4kg (18.48 lbs.) Comes in 3 different styles. Main pipe is 70mm, splits to dual 54mm pipes with 90mm tips."
JIC claims their unit is only 9 lbs (which would be almost 30 lbs. off the stock unit) but I would question the durabilty of a unit that comes in at 25% of the weight of a stock muffler unit, and 1/2 it's competitors.

I found this clip of the JIC titanium exhaust http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slwBXtE8m2M and it sounds a lot different from the stock exhaust, so I was hoping to find out if the person who uploaded that clip is a member here on the forum and could say if he has fitted a midpipe as well, if so which one... on youtube it says he just has a mazdaspeed intake...

i have the titanium full exhaust by JIC. it's way more lighter than the stock unit and RB REV8 system. i never weighed it, but i can definately pick up the entire JIC unit with a couple fingers. the titanium holds up very well and the quality of this exhaust is awesome. never had a problem with it even with my turbo.
if you got the money, spend it.

does not do much justice to the clip as it sounds in reality, but it's the only clip I have for the moment.
