how much a difference cleaning your maf and K&N airfilter will make the car feel. Unfortunately, I'm still getting this erratic putt putt putt putt at idle. I thought the maf and air filter being dirty might be the cause of it.. Anyway, the car sure 'feels' different in the butt-o-meter.
Yep one step i forgot to do when I cleaned my MAF. Then I went to the NJ meet, so I got about a good 300 or more miles driven after doing the MAF cleaning.
Wonder if I need to still reset the ECU

Over time, it will 'reset' itself, as it adjusts. Resetting just speeds up the process.
I've actually been resetting it every 3 days recently, as about 7 days from last reset I start feeling very noticeable power loss down low. Haven't found a reason for it, but resetting the fuel trims seems to restore lost power for about a week.
Ignition is all new, cat is new, MAF is clean, etc...

20-stomp brake pedal method only resets e-shaft. To reset fuel trim you have to disconnect the battery for 10+ minutes.

Everything I have seen and felt says that the fuel trims are reset with the 20-brake pedal stomp. I'll see if I can find the manual PDF on here somewhere. There is another procedure that clears the other half of the ECU, disconnecting the battery does both.
